morning.
as long as there is nowhere to rush to, mornings are my absolute favorite. the promise, sunshine through the blinds, the first sip of a tea, a lazy bath, reading a chapter of my book. i think heaven is a lazy morning stretching on infinitely.

i hope you are celebrating memorial day surrounded by the people you love. preferably in the sunshine, toes in the sand, a cold beverage in hand. let today remind us that life is precious and worth celebrating, and take a moment to truly honor the real meaning of memorial day. my heart goes out to those who have lost someone they love.

farmers’ market. fresh mango and cup of joe. catching up over brunch. taking lots of pictures. daydreaming. relishing in the sun. there is absolutely nothing better than santa monica on a sunday morning.

when i first came to visit i was so entranced by the beauty of the little beachside city. i couldn’t believe a heaven like this existed. like i’d dreamed it up, and could now live here.

it’ll be three years in august, and there’s not a single day where i don’t wake up grateful for where i am.
