yogini + writer + blisscrafter

seva

seva

seva means selfless service, a work or service performed without any thought of reward or personal benefit.

seva, a sanskrit word, springs from two forms of yoga, karma yoga which is yoga of action and bhakti yoga, the yoga of divine love. seva is one of the simplest and yet most profound and life changing ways that we can put our spiritual knowledge into action. seva is asking “how may i serve you?”

even more so, i see myself in you. i see you in me.

i created a yoga program at the down syndrome association of los angeles for teenagers and their families. the program, which spans six weeks, twice a year is a way for the teens and families to connect, as well as feeling into their bodies and learning to breathe more deeply.

having spent most of my life around teenagers with learning disabilities, my mission is to give those with down syndrome the experience of the beautiful gift of yoga, as well as exposing volunteers who have never had the opportunity to connect with those with learning disabilities that gift as well!

if you’d like to get involved, whether joining in on class or volunteer, please contact me.
