what’s the best part of your day?
i love the mornings because of the opportunity to create the day you want each and every day. making tea and reading; having coffee and walking my dog; stretching or working out; or simply lingering in bed for a few extra minutes before letting the day unfold.
what inspires you?
in los angeles inspiration is abundant. sunshine, beautiful views, interesting people and delicious foods. the energy is undeniable and it offers sources of inspiration at every corner. i’m inspired to live a life of wellness so that i can soak up life and enjoy it while i’m here!
your favorite trip.
after graduating college in 2005 i spent part of my summer in greece. to describe that vacation and experience in a few sentences is difficult. i left with a greater respect for taking time to understand a culture and an awe of the number of experiences you can have if you visit with an open mind.
what’s your ideal sunday?
an ideal sunday is one that has no plans and no obligations. those are far and few between more recently so i especially love them when they happen! i would sleep in, make breakfast, shop for a few foods at the farmers market and indulge in a long walk, hike or bike ride.
your favorite words of wisdom.
“i don’t live in either my past or my future. i’m interested only in the present. if you can concentrate always on the present, you’ll be a happy man. life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we’re living now.”
the alchemist, paulo coelho
when do you feel most “you?”
i feel my most “me” when i have the time to think, to create, space to nurture myself. without the obligations of emails, social media, meetings and phone calls. and i love being with my fiancé because he loves me in all of my states of being “me”.
what fulfills you?
i find fulfillment in helping people discover that food is medicine, movement is therapy and taking control of our well-being allows for more abundance in our lives. i work with wellness and lifestyle professionals to help them transform their messages with beautiful designs that inspire people to choose their health. it feels like an extension of doing what i love which is incredibly fulfilling.
what’s on your ipod?
it’s a mix these days! i tend to listen to pandora while i’m working and podcasts while i run or take my dog for a walk. i sub spinning and strength training classes around west los angeles so i’m sure i have super-duper pumped up cardio remixes of top 40 songs hiding out on my ipod!
five things you love.
a bottle of red wine.
early mornings and late nights.
my baby niece.
how you feel in one word today.
